Alvaro and Kristin's "bit of the web"

The Big Snow Storm - March 2003

We should not have complained about not having seen much snow this winter. Now suddenly we got more snow in two days than we got all last winter.

We were snowed in for two days, and shoveled a LOT of snow. However, not all is bad - the dogs had a lot of fun, and so did we (see below).

These three loves the snow. For them it is just play - they do not have to shovel snow, instead they trample it so that it is harder for the humans to move:

Tigger, Sheba and Moses. Moses in the snow. Tigger and Sheba enjoying the snow.

Fun in the snow.

Moses in the snow.

Sheba and Tigger enjoying the snow.

Sheba in snow heaven. Tigger bouncing in the snow. and bouncing and bouncing.

Snow on the nose.

Tigger bouncing in the snow.....

and bouncing, and bouncing....

28th Avenue - Day 1 28th Avenue - Day 2.

The street outside our house after the first night of snow.

One day later, the branches reach the ground, and the neighbor's truck is stuck in the snow.

Alvaro - shoveling snow on Day 1. Alvaro - shoveling snow on Day 2.

Alvaro could not get out to go to work, so here he is hard at work in the driveway. We thought there was a lot of snow on the first day of the storm,....

.....but we were up for a surprise when there was even more on the second day. (By the way, Kristin helped a little too, but we have no pictures to prove it.)

Snow everywhere...

Three days before there were spring flowers under the big pile of snow in the middle.

Look at the amount of snow!

Playing Snowman.

And then we all played and had fun....

We made a very good looking snowman, and tried to have the dogs pose - with no luck!

Sheba - backrub in the snow. Snowball fight. Moses - doing his business.

Sheba - nothing like rolling around in new snow.

And then there was a snowball fight. TIgger and Sheba fought on Kristin's side, but they lost.

Moses trying to do his business, but it is not easy in deep snow!

A wet Sheba

And then it was time to rest...... Here is a very wet Sheba with a rawhide bone.

Notice the wet and dirty floor! It is only going to get worse as the snow melts and the yard turns into mud. But we all had fun inspite off all the hard work.
